Reverend Fathers, Brothers and Sisters, please remember my nephew, Roville Vann, in your prayers. May the healing hands of the Lord be upon him.

Thank you!

Before EDSA I happened Cory Aquino & dhtaguer Kris were in Cebu for a civil disobedience rally after that now infamous snap election. The snap election was thedictator Marcos' greatest blunder. I'm not sure if it was Ted Koppel who interviewed him at that time when he announced there was going to be a snap election just to prove to the world that democracy existed in the Philippines. Things happened so fast, we were all glued to our radio /tv sets awaiting the outcome of the defection of Minister Enrile & Gen. Ramos. We were happy when the first announcement of Marcos fall was wrongly announced, but dismayed that it was not true. When finally their departure was announced and people's entrance to Malacanang was shown on TV, we were jubilant. My husband & I couldn't help it, we rode on our motorcycle, went around the city to join in the jubilation in the streets. It was a relief to have the dictator out after more than 20 years of rule, part of it under Martial Law.Hopefully, EDSA I & People Power would not be in vain and relegated to oblivion. Ours was the first & only bloodless revolution at that time & the word People Power became a byword in the history of the world. We await with bated breath this new Presidency that took long in coming, hopefully, to institute reforms & bring this country to its feet and the glory that Ninoy Aquino and others before him fought for!

Good day.

I just want to share an observation about mass celebration particularly in EDSA Shrine. I attended the Sunday evening masses. The choir sings well and you would appreciate the effort they put performing at such level. My concern is they are singing songs not so familiar with the mass participants; arrangements making it difficult for the congregation to sing with them. I hope someone remind all the choir/s that they are supposed to lead the congregation to sing and participate in the mass. they are not there to do their concert for people to listen to. The mass turns out to be very passive, no life which is not what the eucharist is all about. If the choir insist on singing new songs everytime, may i suggest they use projectors to beam the songs. The priests presiders i heard were all very good in their homily, it is more of encouraging everyone to really participate and be active celebrators of the mass.
Just a two-centavo worth of comment. I do not mean to offend anyone, but i apologize if i do.
Thanks and God bless.
